Description
The sporty and luxurious Giulietta Sprint Speciale, also known as the Giulietta SS, with a body designed by Bertone in the style of the B. A. T. models by Franco Scaglione. In the Sprint Speciale vehicles, the output of the 1. 3-litre engine was increased to 100 hp thanks to a higher compression ratio. When the SS was launched on the German market in 1959, the price was an impressive 23, 000 Deutschmarks. Only 1366 vehicles were produced. The car on offer was partially restored in Italy a couple of years ago and at the same time converted to the Giulia disc brake system at the front. Two years ago, the interior was renewed according to old patterns (including seat and backrest cores). The starter was overhauled and a completely new rear axle fitted. It is not a concours car but an honest daily driver.
