Description

Sunbeam purchased from Mathewson's on 2013 having had an older restoration.
During my ownership the bike was subject to a near concourse condition, stipped down to the last nut and bolt apart from the engine that was rebuilt by the previous owner.
However the engine gearbox unit was brought back to original condition, rear hub drive stripped rebuild with new oil seals. All nuts bolts brackets etc were replated, various parts chromed and naturally all the body frame tank guards etc received new gloss black paint.
Wiring modified and renewed to accept indicators, electronic ignition and charging system. Dynamo was overhauled at Stewart Engineering.
Ignition is beam spark and regulator is DVR2.
A new replacement Amal carburettor was sourced from Stewart Engineering..
All the old parts have been kept.
The Sunbeam was reassembled with great attention to detail. Runs and sounds wonderful.
Photographs of the bike when stripped down to it's components.
The old saying first to see will buy depends if you truly want a Sunbeam S8. If so it will be hard to find another in this condition for the price asked.
It would be impossible to restore today for this sale price I am asking. Fully restored Sunbeam S8 in immaculate condition with great attention to detail.
Modern day electronic ignition and charging system.
