Here for sale is my Genuine UK , Right Hand Drive 1967 Alfa Romeo Duetto Spider 1600 retoration project .
I have been working on this project for several years now on and off .
I have the V5c in my name and a great history file showing work carried out .
I bought the car complete and having had a lot of work carried out previously with a huge amount of new parts fitted , including ;
New hood , new Alfaholics wheels and tyres , new interior rbber mats and carpets , new brake calipers , new headlamp covers , engine and gearbox rebuilds and the list goes on !
The car was painted red but its original colour was off white ( Arvario I think ) a lovely colour , it was my intention to paint it in its original white .
I delved deeper and soon realised that some pretty ropey repairs had been carried out in the past so set out to fully strip the car and restore it to how it should be !!
I had the car dipped to remove the vast amount of filler and other products ... this showed the extent of poor welding !!
Having been in the car repair business for some year when I was younger and latterly restored many , many cars ..... I cracked on ... I now just have not got the time or energy to finish this project off .
I have done a lot of the welding including , new inner , middle and outer sills , new floor pans x4 , new rear boot floor , 4x jacking points , spare wheel well and new wheel arches . Along with a huge amount of detailed fabrication of panels you cant buy ! New rear quarter panels have been fitted and removed ready for final fit ... good gaps all round .
The car comes with new front wings , new front upper and lower front panel and lower cross member and more !
All parts are present as the car was wholly complete . All glass , stainless trims , fixings , interior , rubbers , dash , dials etc etc.
Engine and gearbox all present and in good , clean dry condition .
The body shell has a thin layer of surface rust over some of it but this will easily blast back to perfect steel .
A very worthwhile project needing a new start with a keen restorer ...
