Our fully restored Honda PC50 had just one owner from 1976 until this year. It was located near Norwich all its life before being brought to the south coast when we found it for sale in Bexhill. The mileage shown is just 2746 miles which we obviously cannot guarantee but having restored about 20 PC/ PF Honda's we wouldn't be surprised if it's correct. The speedo works correctly, that is a rare thing with PC's and the motor has excellent compression and is super smooth and quiet. Our hobby is Classic Mopeds UK (see our Facebook page) a pastime that has taken over tbh and we like to document the full restoration process, once complete we move onto the next one. The bike was completely stripped and the frame taken back to bare, it proved to be totally solid which is evidence of dry storage. The tank was not only solid but very clean considering and just warranted a cleaning treatment and a replacement fuel tap. Everything was primed and prepped with the correct Cloud White applied in 2 pack finish. The frame, swing arm and headlight followed in 2 pack red, professional paint throughout and not from an aerosol can. The engine enjoyed replacement oil seals, cleaned and painted then refitted with new fuel line and hidden fuel filter. The wheels had the old spokes cut out and the rims de-chromed and prepared, the hubs cleaned with new wheel bearings front and rear. Spokes are anodised black with nickel plated brass nipples ... rims finished in 2 pack black then rebuilt, balance with fresh tubes and Continental white wall tyres. Assembly followed with service items, new air filter, spark plug, new chain, fuel cap seal, rear brake shoes, steering lock ... Roadster pedals, tool box knob with a new exhaust system. As mentioned we have restored a lot of PC50's and like to think our machines not only present well but also require nothing but time to bed in and be ridden and enjoyed; the final image shows how far this lovely Honda has come. The bike has just been completed but will get test ridden several times prior to sale, it starts first kick every time and we are happy to forward video of it running. V5 in my name, the vehicle can obviously be 'Historic' Tax & MOT free and we will apply that when registering to a new owner.
