Description
rear-wheel drive, sunroof, alloy wheels, spare wheel, radio, central locking, estate carAt the Frankfurt Motor Show in September 1987, BMW unveiled a major update to the E30 often called the Series 2. The range was modified with the addition of the Touring (estate) version and the replacement of the 325e model. The updated models remained largely unchanged until the end of the production run. The Touring body was launched in 1984 as a prototype built by BMW engineer Max Reisböck in a friend's garage and production began in 1987. The BMW 324td was the top-of-the-range diesel version of the E30 BMW 3 Series. The 324td was available only in sedan and Touring (estate) body styles and was powered by BMW's M21D24 engine, a 113 hp turbocharged 2. 4 litre straight-six diesel powerplant. In addition to the turbo engine, the 324td also received a sports suspension, making it sportier than its naturally aspirated sibling. Production of the model continued until 1991. This model is a rust free, very well preserved example as you can see in the pictures. It is both aesthetically and motorically immaculate.
