For sale is my 1987 mini Mayfair, the Honda d16 engine conversion done 3 years ago.
Only looking to sell as I don’t get the use out of it.
Starts first time every time. 11 months MOT it has done only a few hundred miles since the last mot it’s 38 years old now so only 2 years until tax and MOT exempt.
When the conversion was done it had all new break lines and master cylinder including stainless braided flexi pipes. New suspension cones new wheel bearings.
The engine has been fully serviced had a new clutch and timing belt before it was fitted. The conversion was done by KJB fabrications using all his kits and loom.
It has a 2 piece removable front end upgraded halogen headlights new seats carpets and headlining custom dash with the clocks out of the Honda.
Car is in good shape not rusty and has mk1 rear light conversion. Single box stainless exhaust, adjustable gaz dampers, adjustable tie bars and bottom arms, 12x6 mini light style wheels.
The guy that I bought it from had it for 20years.
Only selling as we prefer our metro.
Re-listed due to a person agreeing to buy it and then coming and expecting a completely standard original mini, this is not an original, immaculate example.
Also it has a lot of torque steer and it’s noisy inside but it all adds to the type of mini this is.
In my opinion it would be really good with a tidy up inside.
