Description

Having been though a total restoration at Minimine a several years ago with £000s spent (12K on the restoration and engine alone) it has a further 7K spent on an engine strip down and rebuild in 2025. Finished in stunning Targa red.

The decision at restoration was to go down the "Cafe Racer" look early on in the build and as such you'll spot the Dunlop D1 10 inch alloys wrapped in Yoko A008 rubber, notice the Speedwell centre caps. The early style continues with H4 headlamps, no wheel arches, chrome everywhere including 4 spot lamps, reverse lamp and early mirrors. A very handsome Mini indeed.

Moving inside you'll see the 6 point safety devices roll cage, Cobra classic bucket seats with matching interior in contrasting black and matching red piping. Upgraded brush alloy dash with black binnacle surround housing all the important driver info, speed, revs, fuel & engine temp, the addition of 3 extra gauges battery voltage, clock & oil pressure are any mini must haves. Alloy peddles, KAD gear knob, door furniture and handbrake lever all just add to the vibe. Spot the nice Paddy Hopkirk signed black leather and red stitched gear lever cover. Mota Lita black leather 3 spoke steering wheel and black carpets finish the interior off perfectly.

Under the bonnet is a fully rebuilt 1293cc 75bhp rolling road setup beauty. Initially built by Chris Allit Motor services and recently overhauled by Gittings Classic and Modern, it pulls like a train and sounds epic, also had a full gearbox rebuild with the addition of a X pin diff and upgraded clutch assembly. Paired to a KAD quick shifter this gives you all the fast road feel you could ever want. Has a Kent 266 camshaft and stage 3 worked head are amongst many of the performance upgrades. Alloy rad and silicone hoses take care of all the cooling requirements. Bilstein shocks all around together with the 10 inch brake disc conversion & rear superfins take care of keeping you glued to the tarmac! It is so much fun. Looks great, sounds great, and really goes! It's a real head turner and impossible to drive without a smile on your face. You won't be disappointed!
