Description
An original UK-market car, this Carrera 3. 2 in venetian blue left the factory fitted with the M491 ‘Super Sport Equipment’ package, which comprised 911 Turbo-style flared wheel arches, a black lip spoiler at the front and the ‘whale tail’ spoiler at the rear. The Super Sport carried over the more powerful brakes and the anti-roll bars from the 3. 3-litre Turbo as well. It was first registered in April 1989.
Just 632 RHD examples came to the UK, and only 205 of those were Cabriolets, making this a rare air-cooled 911 today.
The car has full service history with a large folder of previous invoices all of the original books from Porsche, including the stamped maintenance record. Only recently an £11, 000 cosmetic refurbishment at Canford Classics, including kidney bowl restoration on the driver’s side has been performed. The aforementioned cosmetic restoration included professional refurbishment of all the Fuchs alloy wheels, in the correct fitment of 7-inch width at the front and 9-inch at the rear. All tyres are Yokohama A008P nearly new.
Recently also the ECU had been refurbishment & repaired and the air flow meter remanufactured all by Frazer Parts.
Also new ignition leads, rotor arm & distributor cap has been replaced. Clearly all the serviceable items have been replaced in the recent past (oil, filters, plugs... ecc).
In terms of other desirable features, this Cabriolet also has factory fitted air-conditioning and cruise control which is a very rare option for the time.
As per photos the rear spoiler has been removed for aesthetic reasons but the part will come with the car and can easily be re-installed. Also a spare and brand new roof lining in the same colour is included in the price. The current roof is in great condition so at the moment not needed to be replaced.
