Description
1928 , Walter Moore CS1 , very nice condition , mechanically excellent with a nice original patina .
All correct components - brakes , carburettor , gearbox , tanks, forks. mag etc . Tanks are un-dented and rust free , not sure if paint is original but certainly very old and correct . Nice lighting set and good tyres
I bought the CS1 off the late Mike Vangucci about 15 years ago . He was a brilliant "tool room" engineer who restored it in about 1990 and his expertise and quality are clearly evident in this bike .
It runs beautifully , just had the magneto re-built by Paul Wolf , it wants for nothing , i have the original double-barrel silencer which i took off to preserve .
It's mechanically very quiet and can chuff along with a retarded ignition very sedately , or you can open it up and it will really feel like a late twenties racer and handles beautifully too .
I will be riding it in the Banbury Run this year if anyone would like to see it ?All original log books and V5 etc , only 3 owners i think - including myself , some spares and a maintenance history book from Mike from about 1991
