1960 VW Split Screen Camper Van for sale
This left-hand drive Type 2 VW Splitscreen Camper was imported from Caliornia in 2007.
It is a genuine, West Germany Built camper and the chassis number shows it was built in January 1960.
It is Hpi clear and on an age related dateless 3x3 registration plate.
When it was imported in 2007 much money was spent on a restoration and it has covered modest mileage since.
This included on the bodywork, the electrics, suspension and so on. This included a top end engine rebuild and gearbox and brake overhaul.
There is a lot of paperwork in the history file with receipts from various renowned specialists amounting to significant sums of money of tens of thousands of pounds.
The car was then sold to the TV personality Chris Evans and was sold at a Bonhams Auction in September 2020, the link of which can be found on Google by searching for the below;

Presented in pale blue with a blue and white interior, the Camper is fitted with a standard 1, 600cc engine with twin weber carburettors.
Also included are walk through model six seats, a Westfalia roof rack, and a custom surfboard table.
Having completed modest mileage since it both presents and drives very well.
I also have pictures of underneath the VW so you can see it is a solid, genuine vehicle.
