Description
Ford Fiesta Flight Mk3 - 1300cc first registered 1st August 1991.
The 'Flight' was a special edition and is fitted with many features that would have been considered exotic in 1991 - metallic paint, alloy wheels, tilting sunroof, electric front windows, central locking, remote tailgate release, 'Ghia' interior trim and a digital clock.
This car has two previous owners and has lived in the same town all its' life. It has been extensively restored throughout and is now in outstanding condition.
The mileage is genuine and the car has a full 12 months MOT.
Work carried out to date since 2017 - new sills, new front wings, new filler cap panel, new clutch plate bearing and cable, new battery, new cv joint boots, new front calipers, new rear brake cylinders, new master cylinder, new pads and discs, new rear shoes, new lower wishbones, new full exhaust system, track rod ends replaced, valves reground, head gasket replaced, new door mirrors, headlights replaced, four new tyres.
The car would probably benefit from new springs and shock absorbers but the current set up is serviceable and the underside is vitually rust free and undersealed.
The car can be inspected on a lift to verify its' overall condition. I bought this car from a friend (who bought it from his neighbour - the first owner) to rescue it and have carried out the restoration personally.
The car is a delight to drive - 'old school' - with manual choke, no power steering, no ABS and if you want air con then open the sun roof.
The car is a genuine survivior and there are very few left in this condition - an everyday driveable classic for days out and car shows.
