Description
Hello,
Selling my lovely Morris Minor Traveller 1970
Reason for selling as I have just purchased a 1959 Morris Minor Convertible.
The original owner’s were WH Smith’s who used it as a company car for its first two years ( still have the original WH Smith trays that the representative would have used ) it was then purchased by the WH Smith transport manager Mr Mundon from the Gloucester branch.
Mr Mundon then kept the Morris until his passing then it went into his wife’s name. Mr Brown then purchased the car for his wife who decided after a short while that she preferred to use her more modern car. I then purchased the Morris in May 2023.
It has a lovely history with Mr Mundon making pages of hand written notes for every year and what he did to the Morris.
It’s a charming read and it takes it up to its current mileage with me at 78887.
It has been MOT had regular intervals and has never failed or had an advisory.
I bought it because it had not been over restored which is not to my taste I like to see a car that’s had things done over the years and not like it has just come out of a showroom each to their own in this instance.
It has no rust and the wood is in lovely condition. The paint has marks more commensurate with age and the interior is in lovely condition with an unmarked headlining and the carpets are in near to new condition.
It starts first time and drives lovely without fault. It had new pads and shock absorbers and a full service with trunnions greased recently.
It’s with reluctance I am selling my Morris but last week I bought a Convertible of a fellow member so I cannot keep them all.
I have used the Morris frequently but not massive distances in my tenure and I keep the Morris in a classic car storage from October until April every year as I have a Singer Le Mans in my home garage.
I am selling at a very good price as I believe in selling a car not putting a silly high price on it. Any questions are welcome along with viewings. I honestly believe the first person to view with all the above agreed on will purchase my Morris.
Kind regards
