1991 VW GOLF GTI 3 Door 1 Owner From New
We are offering a rare opportunity to buy what we believe to be one of the most original MK2 Golf GTi’s left!
This is a special car that has only had one loving owner from new and only covered 98k miles. The car was purchased from Central Garages VW Henley on Thames on the 24th August 1991 and was always serviced at a VW Dealer until 2013 and then it was serviced annually by an independent garage.
The service books has a total of 26 Service stamps from 1992 to 2020 19 of these were from main dealers.
There is a gap between 2016 and 2020 where the car was hardly used and again from 2022to 2025 where the car wasn’t used but was recommissioned, serviced and cambelt replaced in January this year.
Finding a GTI in such original condition is almost unheard of these days this car is very original and has been kept in exceptional condition , it still wears its original steel wheels and has Michelin tyres fitted (including the spare). The interior is fantastic and rare to find in this condition, the dash is free from cracks , seats are still firm and fabric in good condition , it still had the original head lining up until we had a few hot days which made it sag so this has been replaced .
Underneath the car is unrestored and also great condition , never been welded , still has the original VW sealer and also still has a VW exhaust system.
Driving the car is an absolute pleasure, the 1. 8 8v has plenty or torque and the gear change precise . The suspension whilst sporty gives a compliant ride . This also has power steering so parking is easy.
