Fantastic Land Rover Series 2a long wheelbase (109) with full canvas, newly fitted in 2023. Sides and back of canvas roll up and there are seats and seat belts for 8 in the back, so it’s enormous fun.
Restored by a previous owner at 67k miles and then overhauled by CrossAxle Services in Hampshire after I bought it in 2021. More recently looked after by Adrian Harvey Motor Engineers who have kept it in excellent shape for me.
The 2. 25 petrol is very reliable. Fluids have been changed regularly and recently points were renewed and breaks overhauled.
Matching numbers vehicle in amazing condition with real character, which you can drive every day. The perfect fun summer vehicle which will take 2 families if needed, but is also fun to potter around in on your own.
A slice of history but very drivable and somehow the analog feel makes it great fun to drive.
Very unusual version as most 109 inch series 2a vehicles have the truck cab instead of full canvas.
As the photographs show, it’s in fantastic condition and has been very faithfully restored. The patina on the middle mounted series dash is beautiful for example.
Matching numbers vehicle although I don’t have its pre-restoration history. However I have all bills since I bought it in 2021.
