Unique 1939 Citroen Cabriolet rebuilt in New Zealand using a 1953 Traction Avant donor car. It is certified by the Citroen Car Club and registered in the UK as a 1953 Citroen Roadster historic vehicle.
With fewer than 10 original RHD Cabriolets in the UK, this is a unique opportunity to own and enjoy a very rare cabriolet without paying the premium prices they attract. Since arriving in the UK the car has been regularly used and the following improvements have been carried out:
In 2019 the brakes were refurbished with new brake shoes and fluid change.
A new alternator has been fitted keeping the battery up to scratch.
New fuel tank fitted with a new fuel level sensor, and the fuel gauge works! The carburettor has recently been fully serviced with new parts.
Engine serviced 2024, including oil change, new plugs, leads and battery.
The oill pressure is 50psi as shown in photograph with engine running.
New leather fully adjustable seats have been fitted that enable a better driving position. The original seats, in good condition will be sold with the car
Strong rust-free body with original Pilote wheels and original fold down windscreen. Solid but not perfect paintwork and chrome. Both the roof and cover are in good condition.
