1969 RHD MGB GT FWB 696H Flame Red with Black Trim was built in October 1969 for the Scottish Motor Show and featured on the cover of Classic Cars 2014
This restored car has many new parts combined with original equipment. The extensive restoration includes a bare metal respray, new wings and doors, new/ reconditioned dashboard, gauges, fuel pump, oil cooler, headlights, side lights, new chrome work, including radiator grill.
Full engine rebuild (1950 stage two engine with K&N pancake filters) showing 9599 miles and runs on new fuel spec E10 as well as E5. New brake servo and new disc brakes front and rear (no more drum brakes), new wiring loom, new brake, fuel pipes and stainless steel exhaust.
New Frontline suspension with Koni front and rear telescopic adjustable dampers and rear parabolic springs (no more rear leaf springs). New aluminium radiator and thermostatically controlled high power cooling fan, 123 electronic ignition, new Mazda 5 speed gear box. Electric windscreen washers, new wipers and blades, 5 new 72 spoke wire wheels with chrome knock on hubs and new Brockley tyres.
The bodywork and chrome work are in excellent condition, with the underside steam cleaned and Lanogaurd. The interior is original with inertia reel seat belts, no radio or speakers fitted.
There is a huge history file showing over £43K spent with over £29K spent since 2020. The car comes with a full 12 months MOT.
