Exceptional Alfetta GTV6
Rebuilt and upgraded 3 litre 12 valve Busso V6, single plate clutch and Limited Slip Differential gearbox from Alfa 75.
All rebuilt in 2022 to SZ spec described below.
Bare metal restoration by Alex Jupe Motor Sport, finished in the original factory Argento Silver.
Original factory grey interior, original wheel and gear knob.
Car wears European spec GTV6 Ronal alloys. Comes with a set of original UK spec alloys which require refurbishment.
ULEZ and Road Tax exempt.
2021/ 22 £16, 000 engine and gearbox rebuild plus a range of improvements:
Discrete and effective upgrades bring it to SZ spec, including

Kept in dry storage. Dry, summer use only.
Comprehensive history file, stretches back to 1980s and details bare metal restoration, mechanical work and service history. Alex Jupe also has full records of the restoration. Fully detailed invoices - too many to scan for this advert.
2013 bare metal restoration by Alex Jupe included:
1. Removal of all exterior trim, lights, sunroof, front & rear screens & the engine.
2. Cutting out of rust to the spare wheel well, battery tray & other localised areas (I have a photo record of this work).
3. Full repaint in her original colour.
4. Full Dintitrol 3215 cavity wax treatment.
5. Full under body anti rust protection.
6. Supply of a 3. 0 engine. Prior to fitting this had both cylinder heads removed & recondtioned before being refitted with new gaskets, etc.
7. The gearbox was removed & AJ fitted a unit rebuilt the previous year for the owners previous GTV6, this had covered only 1500 or so miles.
8. AJM Quickshift gear linkage.
9. New gearbox mounts & prop shaft donuts were fitted.
10. 1x new rear brake calliper.
11. New Ronal A1 wheels & tyres.
12. New exhaust system to standard spec.
13. Braided stainless steel brake hoses.
14. Alfa 75 3. 0 front anti roll bar.
15. Koni Sport shock absorbers.
16. Full 4 wheel laser alignment.
The car has protective wheel arch liners fitted.

Described by Alex Jupe (Alex Jupe Motorsport & Alfa Romeo Owners Club Alfetta adviser) as, "a really nice GTV6 that rust has never got into." Alex's advice is, "Don't sell her, it is so hard to find really good GTV6s".
Described by Day & Whites (Brands Hatch) as "the best driving GTV6 we have had."
Stef Proietti (Proietti Garage, London) said, "don't sell it."
These characteristics along with responsible owners and no wet use and no salty road use probably explain its exceptional condition.
Car is now run in, and has done just over 2, 500 miles since rebuild.
I run it on Super Unleaded, always, although this is not necessary.
Engine is strong, smooth and torquey, addictively responsive, and revs with an intoxicating zest.
It has the easy torque of the 3. 0. The head and fly wheel and balancing work, mean that it spins as freely as a 2. 5.
It is not a heavy car, and I would guess that it's delivering 200bhp+ so the power to weight ratio plus the instant torque makes it feel genuinely quick, and the throttle response is magic.
The car is just fabulous, beautifully balanced, gorgeously, endearingly vocal, and completely engaging.
After 5 years, I have decided to sell. I just don't have the time for a 4th car, and one which needs storage. I spend hours of time caring for it, and I have a young family and other priorities now. Still my all time favourite car. More so than my TVR, Porsche and plenty of other exciting stuff. This car has had every expense covered.
I have included a photo of bubbling at the bottom corner of the windscreen. If I was to keep it I would take the time to book it in and have it dealt with, although it has not got any worse in 5 years of dry storage.
Questions welcome, and I can take more photos if required. My second GTV6 in 25 years, acquired in between COVID lock-downs from AROC member, after a 5 year hunt. He kept it in a garage that was even better appointed than my bedroom, and as it was winter, I had it brought down in an enclosed trailer. He bought it from a customer of Alex Jupe. Alex Jupe has known the car intimately over the years, describing it as "one of mine" and has been a consistent source of advice.
10 previous owners in 43 years.
A previous owner researched the ownership history. back as far as 1988.
The trail starts in 1989 with a Mr Forster who had the engine rebuilt at 55, 000miles, a clutch in 1991 at 77, 000, and rear brake calipers at 85, 000miles in 1992.
The car went into dry storage from 1992 to 2000.
In March 2000 it was retrieved and acquired by a Mr McVann
Sold on to a Mr Habibi who sold it September 2001.
Mr Solomon acquired the car and maintained it with Autodelta until 2006, by which time it had done over 100, 000 miles, received a glass - out respray and various other treats.
In 2010 Mr Manners commissioned the full strip, bare-metal restoration detailed above, with much more work all completed in 2013.
In 2019 Mr Spies, had some preventative and tidying work done at Alex Jupe Motorsport in preparation for sale at National Alfa Day.
The car was sold to Mr Robinson, from whom I purchased it.
