1980 Lotus Elite S2. 2 - 1st car of 116.
I have owned this Lotus for the past 10 years but very sadly I just don’t have the time or space now to finish restoring this beautiful classic. Before I acquired it, It was sat for 15 years by the previous owner, who hadn’t done anything with it. I had it running within 2 days, the underneath was good and no damage or repair to the bodywork.

it was originally owned by one of Lotus Cars own directors and has a full factory Lotus Service history (proof), it also has a very low mileage of only 46, 000 miles from new, it is a rare power steering model too with the desirable Getrag 5 speed gearbox and unique wheels.
I have a pile of original paperwork to go with this, from registration documents, ownership, full Lotus service history, mot certificates, original owners handbook, original workshop manual, a certificate of Vehicle provenance, letter from Lotus archives, even the car stereo manual.
Mechanical side, the engine runs perfect. I have done some work, I paid £1000 to have the carbs fully rebuilt, a new timing belt has been fitted and rebuild of water pump. There are no oil leaks and has good oil pressure. Brakes and suspension done, The electric windows and wiper motor are working and the power steering works well.
The interior has not been touched and is where it will require the restoration. I did have the windscreen and dash out (for the wiper motor), will need some new gauges. Only have one image of interior at the moment, and when it came the seats were taken out, so are in good condition.
