Originally exported to South Africa as a CKD, then owned by the same family for 35 years; I bought it at auction in 2016 and have driven it in fine weather only since.
This car is very original , it has not been 'restored' though it has had a respray at some point. The chrome and interior are original as is the engine with maitching number to the chassis plates.
Maintenance in my time includes oil&filter change, new brake lines and calipers, water pump and electric ignition for reliable starting. Otherwise it has been no trouble, it starts , runs and is enjoyable to take out.
The hood is in good order, as are the side screens, but I have never used them except to see if they work, which they do.
For the future, I suspect it may need a new exhaust and the tyres are a bit old (still plenty of tread on them). This car is for driving and enjoying , if you are after a pristine museum piece maybe look elsewhere.
It is rust free and complete; not all of the knobs on the dashboard work but the important ones do. The paint is generally good with slight blistering on the door tops but not enough to detract from the overall appearance.
The engine is fine and starts readily., good oil preassure, doesn't smoke or overheat. Gearbox also fine, though it takes getting used to compared to modern cars.
I do have a trailer so can help with delivery ,( if not too far away!) If you want to see underneath I have a hoist and can take more pictures.
