I purchased the Celica in 2015 from a seller in Liverpool who were selling on behalf of the current owner who bought the car in 1985. It seems it had been recovered from a garage were it had been stored for many years. It had some form of restoration and a respray which I presume was done to sell it. I stored it for some years before deciding to restore it with a local company. Now it has had the body totally restored over the last 8 years with a complete body respray in the original Toyota Yellow colour. Two rustfree doors and a bonnet were sourced from New Nostalgic Parts in the USA. The car has retained all its original interior except the roof lining which is now in a black cloth since the original brown plastic was beyond hope. After the final assembly by the local body shop I had the car re-commissioned by a local Toyota ethusiast who overhauled the cooling system, electrical system, rear brakes, rear shocks, door mechanisms and any mis aligned shut lines. Although a fine looking car that presents well there are a few items that may need some future attention - these are new carpets (Black is available but not the Tan so I have left it as oiginal) and the dashboard is showing its age and may need some TLC in the future. Please note that the car has no power steering but not an issue once the car is moving. The car has to be viewed since my photos do not do it any justice - it just looks stunning.
