Description
Triumph dolomite sprint reg September 1978 - original colour vermillion, I've owned this sprint 5 years during which I've spent several thousand pounds on it. It's a well sorted & maintained car which had some restoration work soon after I bought it including a high quality respray. There is however some slight blistering on the edge of a rear door & a very small blemish on the edge of the front panel above the passenger headlamp, this aside condition is exceptional - areas such as the wheel arches are original, solid & rot-free. The paintwork shines up really well and is much better in reality than the photos suggest! The sprint alloys are the originals as is the vinyl roof which is in amazing condition.
All the upholstery - the seats, door cards etc is excellent, however the door cappings could do with re-lacquering to be perfect. This sprint is very responsive with a strong engine and positive gearbox with smooth working overdrive. It also has the addition of electronic ignition. One amazing thing about my Dolomite sprint is that it has never been welded - very rare on a Dolomite!
This particular Sprint was magazine featured several years ago - once in an Escort Mexico v Dolomite sprint comparison and also in a Dolomite sprint buying feature.
To summerise, this is a very good condition and exceptionally solid unwelded Dolomite sprint in one of the nicer colours - a reluctant sale of a cherished classic.
