Stunning and original Mercedes 230 TE automatic
Part of a bereavement estate this fantastic example of this very popular Mercedes has just been removed from dry storage where it has been parked for the past eight years. Two owners from new with the last owner owning it since December 1984. I was assured by his partner that the car has never seen rain and is in original condition which is hard to believe because it is stunning. Only having done 43, 300 miles the car is a fantastic low mileage example and I don’t think there could be another. The exterior has a deep shine and the engine compartment is in similar condition. The interior is excellent condition and has never been valeted. The underneath is super solid with no corrosion. The car has just been to a Mercedes specialist for a complete check over and recommissioning. The following work was carried out.
Complete check over of fuel system for any leaks
Engine oil changed
Drain and flush coolant and refill
Removed and clean timing chain tensioner
Fit four new brake calliper and change brake fluid and pressure bleed.
Front lower swivel joints replaced along with two brake hoses
Repack outer wheel bearings
New battery fitted.
New tailgate struts replaced with Mercedes struts
The exhaust rear box was showing signs of corrosion and these are no longer available so one was hand made to original specification.
