Description
My father bought this Bronze Yellow MGC GT brand new from Chesterfield Motors in Chesterfield. First registered on the 1st of February 1970 it’s currently showing 15208 on the odometer.
Having been a motor engineer his whole life dad loved this C and cared for it like one of the family. It’s been garaged all its life and extremely well looked after by my father (you can tell that just from the engine bay) and now it’s time for it to start a new life with someone who will love it as much as my father did.
Inside it has its original interior and was bought from Chesterfield Motors with the quirky addition of indicators, horn and washer/ wiper operation on stalks, it’s all there right at your fingertips. It still has its original steering wheel too and comes with a heated rear screen and that all important Overdrive switch.
Outside the first thing you notice is the amazing colour which really does suit it well. And whilst not a concourse car (in the terms of never having had a nut and bolt restoration from the ground up) this is an extremely great example of a car that has been loved and cared for it’s whole life by one very careful owner with no rust visible. It has some great upgrades too. It comes with a Downton Exhaust, uprated anti-roll bar, telescopic rear shock absorbers, Gaz front shock absorbers and an anti-tramp bar.
I don’t need to really say anything about the engine bay, the pictures speak a thousand words, you could eat your dinner off it! We have recently had it serviced through as it’s mainly been garaged for the last 5 years due to my dad’s illness, and we were unsure when it had last had a service. It’s had new brake fluid, oil and coolant. A new oil filter, new plugs and HT leads have also been fitted along with the Holmes Racing Swan neck upgrade.
All in all, it is a truly one of a kind MGC GT, there can at best only be a handful of one owner cars left out there. Viewings are most welcome.
