Description
We rebuilt this 2cv in 2008 and there was no expense spared on his build! He was rebuilt before new body shells were available so the customer went all out on his existing body shell and panels…
- They were chemically dipped to remove all paintwork and rust
- We then welded in new panels where needed
- The body shell was shot blasted and we welded up any small areas that were needed after
- It was then sent off to the Midlands again to be chemically dipped and E-Coated
- We then prepped, primed and painted it in a metallic Honda grey
Whilst all of the above was taking place, we rebuilt the chassis, again sparing no expense and fitting new wheel bearings, brakes, suspension, shock absorbers, brake pipes etc etc all fitted to a galvanised chassis. He even had a tow bar fitted.
Once he was painted and the chassis was built, we built the 2cv back up using many new parts including all new interior. The seats are leather and they were made specifically for this 2cv.
We also fully rebuilt the engine and gearbox.
The 2cv has been meticulously maintained throughout his life. He was sold to his current owner in 2013 who lives in Australia but visited the UK regularly and would use Mr Grey whilst here. Unfortunately it has now come to a point where he needs to sell him as he is no longer visiting the UK as regularly as he used to.
Mr Grey will come with the following done:
- Full service
- Full cavity wax again
- He has a couple of small rust spots on the top of his body shell which we will clean up and respray
- 422 sales checklist
- Brand new MOT
- He will come with 12 months warranty* or 6000 miles, whichever comes first
