1954 Alfa Romeo 1900M AR51 MATTA finished in green.
In good original condition , never welded and has never needed restoration , it’s just been used and looked after.
One of 2200 produced by Alfa Romeo between 1952 and 1954
Originally produced for the Italian army, makes most 4x4 look very crude.
Beautifuly engineered with a ladder chassis and separate body but fitted with AR famous 1900cc Twin overhead cam petrol engine as fitted to their road cars .. de tuned from 100bhp to 60bhp coupled to their low and high range gearbox gives fantastic torque , so it will go anywhere , live rear axle and independent front suspension giving it unsurpassed off road capability..
A MATTA took part in the retrospective Mille Miglia, so could possibly be eligible , what an inexpensive way to gain entry into one of the worlds great automotive events.
