Description

The good:
Mechanically sound, daily driven for nearly 5 years with no issues - I've had one breakdown and that was the alternator failing.

Low mileage - 70k miles (increasing slightly as I'm dailying it). I've averaged 4k miles a year.

Engine was swapped from a 3. 5EFI to a 200TDI. The swap has been approved by the DVLA and the V5 shows the correct engine number for the 200TDI. It's a 14L number, showing the engine is an original Range Rover engine from a donor car.

The swap means I average 400-450 miles from 60L of diesel. This makes it much more usable than the 15ish MPG we get from a 3. 5l V8 Range Rover also in the family than needs premium fuel!

New clutch fitted 18 months ago.

New Swivel Balls and wheel bearings fitted.

New upper tailgate - aluminium so it won't rot like the old steel ones.

New fuel tank 4 years ago.

New alternator 3 years ago, with an uprated battery fitted at the same time.

Engine, gearbox, transfer case and both front / rear diffs had a service 6 months ago - I've previously done all fluids when I bought the car, and engine and gearbox separately between those services, roughly annually.

Timing belt done at 57k miles.

Chassis and body is solid - welding has been done in usual places if and when required.
I have spare interior parts for lots of the scruffy bits - a dashboard and binnacle set with perspex in really good nick.

2 MOTs left, May 2026 and May 2027. After this will be Historic and exempt from tax and MOT.
Last MOT was clean, and runs until 20 May 2026.

2 sets of keys.

The Reg is non-transferable, as it was issued by the DVLA when a private plate was removed previously, but it's a nice reg. You could put a private plate on it, but not move this reg to another vehicle.

The bad:
The paintwork has seen better days. It's a very useable classic and the paintwork isn't so bad I'm embarrassed to drive it to work etc. But it's far from a concourse vehicle. The roof is very faded, the rest is fair for its age.

The rear windows are currently disconnected. As far as I know the electrics work, but the runners need replacing to reinstate them.

The rear wiper doesn't work, I think this is just the motor, but it's not an MOT testable thing so I've not got round to replacing it.

The central locking doesn't work - it was cut when I bought the car, and as much as I'd planned to one day reinstate it, it's one of the jobs I've not got to.

The Air Dam was removed from the front before my ownership - they're not very expensive to buy and fit if you prefer the look with it, although I prefer them without.

I've got paperwork for most of the jobs I've paid for, not the ones I've done myself (including the timing belt, with a mechanic friend assisting in his spare time, but I have the invoice for the kit and the mileage when it was done is written on the housing). I don't have much paperwork for anything before my ownership except the engine replacement. There are a few old invoices, but nothing akin to a real service history.
***************

I've loved owning the car, it's been a joy to drive and I'll be genuinely sad to see it go. I'm too busy to do the jobs I'd hoped to, and I want something a little more modern, with air con and maybe heated seats. With a bit of tidying this will make a stunning car, but it's very useable as-is.
Open to sensible offers.
