The time has come for us to sell our beloved home on wheels. We feel like we have experienced all there is to love about the bus, and now it’s someone else’s turn to enjoy all the love the bus has to give.

We bought the bus back in January 2021 as a 15 seater Worcestershire Council bus, we absolutely fell in love with it and decided it was going to be our home on wheels for the next couple of years. With only 210, 000km on the clock and most Varios clocking up to 600/ 700k kilometres we knew it would make the perfect camper!

The van featured on Jimmy’s Builds on Wheels on Discovery+!

After weeks of grinding down the chassis and removing every spec of rust (see instagram) it was time for the welding to start. A local professional replaced the tired wheel arches with brand new steel arches which meant we could re spray the chassis. After 5 coats of chassis paint and now rust free, the bus was ready for the re-sprayers.

CarCom Bodyworks spent 3 weeks removing the bottom 3” from the bus to ensure no rust was left behind, redoing the entire side door and finally respraying to the beautiful Classic Land Rover colour of Atlantic Green. This entire process including welding costed us £7500! As you can see this was absolutely worth it!

Roy at RLMetalworks then fitted our beast roof rack which meant we could mount our solar panels and roof decking. Not sure there’s much better than sitting up there with a cold one on a summers day!

We spent the next 6 months converting the bus into our tiny home on wheels with the help of Abbie’s Uncle a professional shop fitter and qualified electrician, Ian.

As you can see, with Victron and Marine Grade Ply, there has been no expense spared throughout. We look forward to meeting genuine VanLife lovers ready to take the bus on a new adventure.

The electrical system is incredibly extensive costing just over £5000. This means you can live off grid for as long as you like without needing to charge up. Driving the bus also trickle charges the batteries for extra peace of mind.

Maintenance is really important to us, the bus has had regular 6monthly filter and oil changes and 2 new tyres since owned. We have paperwork for most of it, and is fully registered as a campervan.
