A stunning low mileage example of the legendary Honda XR400r.
I set out to create my dream trail bike, inspired by the Honda MX bikes of the mid eighties - Thorpe, Malherbe, Geboers, Johnson....
The bike features:
- Bespoke custom-made HRC blue seat
- Immaculate Takasago Excel gold rims
- Gold Renthal bars
- Almost brand new road-legal enduro tires
- Retro MX decals
- Custom tail tidy with licence plate light fitted
- HRC blue fork gaiters
- Front fender brace
- Custom exhaust baffle
A full top-end rebuild was professionally carried out last year by Gordon Farley motorcycles in Guildford.
The bike starts extremely well, hot or cold, runs like a Swiss watch, and pulls like a train.
Typical Honda bullet-proof reliability. It has been well cared for, kept in dry storage, and has never let me down.
I intended to do enduro days on it, but have only done some light green-lining. Needless to say, it is capable of a lot more.
Enjoy years of low-maintenance fun on a real head-turner of a bike. Wants for nothing and is ready to go. MOT until November 2026, with no advisories.

Extremely reluctant sale, but it deserves to be ridden a lot more than I have time for.
