Description
This lovely Porsche 911T is in the iconic colour combination of silver metallic ‘80’ and black leather with ‘Pepita’ (houndstooth) interior. And Fuchs alloys, naturally. It has the sought after dogleg 5 gear transmission. All correct as per the Certificate of Authenticity.
This matching numbers LHD car was bought by me from the States in 2014 having been restored by the highly respected Aventura Motors Inc. The seats were reupholstered in new leather and much was replaced using the correct German parts: carpets, headliner and basket weave door panels whilst the dash was also reconditioned. Mechanical work included new gaskets and seals, new brake pads and hoses front and back, new fuel pump, rebuilding the carbs and much more.
I have had further improvements made to the interior by Porsche interiors specialists Classic FX. I also had them fit a period correct, reconditioned original Becker Monza cassette player from Chrome London. Although I have now had the car for over 11 years, incredibly I have only driven it a few hundred miles a year on average so the wear has been minimal and the condition is much as it was in 2014. Always garaged and only driven on nice days, I still love it but my wife doesn’t enjoy the lack of modern comforts which is why it doesn’t come out much. So regrettably it's time to sell and buy something with heated seats and a USB socket.
In posting this ad I’ve just remembered that DVLA recorded it as a 1970 model whereas, although it was made in late 1970, it was first registered in the States in 1971. I think it would be more correct therefore to consider this a 1971 car and I will endeavour to get DVLA to correct this.
