Descripción

The Story of the Porsche 911 2. 2 S - A Masterpiece of Engineering The Porsche 911 - affectionately known as the 'Neunelfer' - is much more than just a sports car. It's an icon. A symbol of automotive passion, technical genius and uncompromising driving dynamics. The 911 was born in 1963, when it was presented at the IAA in Frankfurt as the successor to the legendary Porsche 356 - originally under the name "Porsche 901". Due to a brand dispute with Peugeot, it was soon renamed the 911. The 911 is a genuine 2+2-seater with a rear-mounted air-cooled flat-six engine - a configuration that remains at the heart of the 911 legend. Early models, particularly the 911 S, were true driver's cars: no power steering, no brake servo, no electronic aids - just you, the car and the road. This pure, direct connection provides an unforgettable driving experience that continues to inspire generations of enthusiasts. When the model was updated in the early 1970s, the displacement of the six-cylinder boxer engine was increased from 2. 0 to 2. 2 litres. In the S version, this meant 180 bhp at 6, 500 rpm, 2, 195 cm³ displacement, a top speed of 230 km/ h and a 0-100 km/ h time of just 7 seconds - impressive figures for a car weighing just 1, 070 kg. The resulting power-to-weight ratio delivers a raw, visceral driving experience. The 911 2. 2 S has made its mark not only on the road, but also on the racetrack. Porsche used international rallies and track competitions as a testing ground for reliability and performance - with great success. Particularly exclusive: only 729 examples of the 911 2. 2 S Targa were produced in total. This makes it one of the most sought-after and valuable collector's cars in the classic 911 line. The combination of rare Targa bodywork, enhanced performance and pure driving feel make the 911 2. 2 S a true milestone in sports car history - and one of the last Porsches to offer a truly analogue driving experience. History of the proposed Porsche 911 S 2. 2 Targa - SSC#244 A time capsule in Gemini Blue - with history, character and a future Some cars don't just have beautiful form or function - they have presence. This Porsche 911 S 2. 2 Targa, produced in the legendary year 1970, is one such car. A rolling tribute to the golden age of air-cooled Porsches. Delivered to its first owner via the Porsche Zentrum in Düsseldorf on 1 July 1970, this 911 S Targa left the factory in a rare and striking colour: Gemini Blue Metallic - a colour that combines elegance, depth and discreet sportiness. Its delivery is confirmed by an official Porsche Classic technical certificate, underlining the authenticity and historical integrity of this exceptional vehicle. In the early 1980s, the car moved to the south of France - a significant change, both geographically and emotionally. It remained in the same family for decades: first in the hands of the father, then carefully maintained by the son. Over all these years, the 911 S has been loved, driven and preserved - not as a collector's item, but as an everyday companion. We were lucky enough to acquire this exceptional vehicle through a long-standing partner. What did we find? A sincere, authentic Porsche, imbued with history, dignity and the elegant traces of time. The sun of the south of France had naturally left its mark on the paintwork, so we opted for a meticulous repaint, faithful to factory standards, in its original colour of Gemini Blue Metallic. No shortcuts, no modifications - just a return to the original shine. At the same time, all the window seals that had become rigid were replaced, to restore their appearance and functionality perfectly. What remains intact is the car's character. This Porsche still retains its original engine and gearbox - exactly as when it left the factory in 1970. A detail that has become rare today. The interior is just as authentic: well preserved, rich in charm, patina and history. Features and technical details In addition to its classic silhouette and emblematic Targa roof, this 911 S boasts equipment in keeping with the era and a remarkable level of finish: - Original 2. 2-litre S engine developing 180 bhp - 5-speed manual gearbox - Internally ventilated disc brakes - Original Fuchs alloy wheels - Sports seats - Factory car radio with roof aerial This car is not a show car restored to clinical perfection. It is a...
