The 968 'Sport' was only available in the UK and was only produced for 2 years. It is a Club Sport (recognised from Porsche as a CS, too) with the rears seats back in, electric windows, electric mirrors, air con and a few other bits. Each Sport is usually slightly different depending on how the original buyer specced it. For example mine has the electric leather seats and a rear wiper and many of them don't have these. Full spec below:
- 1994 Porsche 968 Sport
- Comprehensive service history including lots of Porsche specialist stamps in the book and a folder full of receipts, including evidence of 3 x cambelt changes over the years.
- Cambelt and tensioner, balance belt, air con belt, alternator belt and water pump all replaced by Performance Porsche Klassiker about 2 years ago - all receipts to document this.
- Electric sunroof, electric adjustable seats, electric windows, electric heated mirrors, PAS, ABS and air-con (needs a regas/ test). Remote boot release operated from a switch by the drivers knee and also via a button on the remote.
- 3 keys and three immobiliser fobs
- Toad Cat 1 alarm with two key fobs which also activate the remote central locking.
- About 152k on the clock. Runs smoothly and pulls well in all gears with the variocam working perfectly. It feels very healthy and pulls hard. No question that it has all of its power.
- 6 speed manual box, nice and tight with no crunches.
This car presents fantastically for its age and mileage. I hope that the pictures and videos portray that.
The history is incredible. Documented fastidiously and presented in a lovely file for ease.
The car sits under cover in my garage and it isn’t driven in the salt, so it remains clean and ready to view at a moments notice.
If you are looking for the experience of a clubsport that you can still take the kids to a show in, a Sport is the car for you.
If you like your cars to be incredibly well maintained and cared for, but with a price and mileage that makes it useable and enjoyable, then this car is the one for you.
