-Many years ago my father bought a very rusty early XK140 which turned out to have the competition 3. 5 liter C-Type engine. That engine gave Dad an interesting idea. A replica body and frame was sourced from the UK, then all the mechanicals were stripped from the 140 and totally rebuilt, and the car you see here was assembled. The car spent 15 years motoring around Ireland regularly, but has spent the last 18 years hibernating in Malta. The collection is now being dispersed. The C-Type has recently been woken up, test driven and is ready for the road. (The poor old 140 was eventually rebuilt with modern Jag mechanicals and is now a thing of beauty!)
