Mercedes Benz 811D camper van/ race truck registered on 24/ 05/ 1989. I have owned this great old bus for 26 years. I used the 811D when I raced British and European Super Karts all over the UK and Europe for years. Registered as a private HGV motor caravan with DVLA and costs only £170 for 12 months RFL and can generally be driven on a car licence. Has just been mot’d with no advisories after being dry stored for six years. Lots of expenditure before being stored and invoices totalling over £5500 for the work present. Starts/ runs/ drives spot on. All 6 tyres replaced and have covered less than 100 miles. Always serviced and maintained to a very good standard with a lot of paperwork present to support this. The 89’ 811D is fitted with a turbo charged 4L 4 cylinder engine and power steering which makes it a very useable vehicle on the road 37 years after manufacture. Will return 40 mpg on a run and sit all day @ 80 mph. Sleeps 5 people comfortably. Has a Thetford cassette toilet, shower, dining table, Propex blow air heating, hot and cold running water (200L tank), gas cooker, hob, grill, 3 way fridge and plenty of storage space everywhere. Decent size garage to the rear. Could easily be re configured to suit the new owners requirements. Awning has been removed and is included in the sale, but will need a repair to the winding arm. Exterior of the camper was fully re sprayed in 2006 and is in my opinion presentable. Graphics could do with a refresh as they are de laminating in places. Four wheel trailer with large wrap around awning large enough for two vehicles available if required by separate negotiation. Not many 811D’s on the road now.
