Description
A very early Morris Mini - one of the first to roll off the production line in the first year of production - and left completely original together with its original engine.
This car was driven by its first owner until 1995 whereupon it was stored in a garage attic space of a working Mini specialist in Dunfermline until I bought it last year.
I have got her up and running sweetly by replacing the perishables, the reservoirs and pipework, tyres, the distributor and coil, the starter motor and getting the original HS2 carburettor professionally refurbished.
I have 5 minis in addition to this one - I love driving them and I love working on them. Now that this one is singing I feel that she is ready to go to a new home. Having been dry stored for so long, there is no rust to the shell or sub frames and the paintwork is all original, apart from some fresh paint to the front wings.
The reaction that this little mini get from passers-by when you drive her is amazing - lots of smiles and waves - every trip is a joy. It's very rare to find a 1959 mini in such original condition. Almost all have been 'refurbished' or 'updated' in some way. This one really stands out in its originality.
