Description
1969 MG MGC Roadster – Long Term Ownership, Well Presented Example, Overdrive
1969 MGC Roadster presented in excellent, usable condition. An older restoration with very light use since. The car has covered approximately 23, 500 miles since a zero mileage restoration around 25–30 years ago.
I have owned the car for nearly 21 years, having originally purchased it from the well known MG specialist Nigel Guild (Former Glory MG), and it has been carefully maintained and enjoyed during that time.
The bodywork presents well, with straight panels and no accident damage, and the car retains a very honest appearance throughout. It is not a freshly restored show car, but a well-maintained and enjoyable classic that can be used with confidence.
Mechanically, the car is in good order, benefitting from a major overhaul by JME Healeys of Warwick (in excess of £3, 500), along with routine maintenance during my ownership. It is fitted with period Blockley Tyres and has been used sparingly in recent years. The car starts, runs and drives as it should.
During my ownership, the car has never been used in wet or adverse conditions and has always been stored in a dehumidified garage, never left outside overnight.
A comprehensive history file accompanies the car, including previous MOT certificates, maintenance records, and ownership history. The vehicle was originally registered on: 31/ 10/ 1969 by University Motors London, with early ownership in Islington before later moving to Bath.
The interior is in excellent condition, commensurate with a well-kept classic of this age, and presents very well without being over-restored.
Overall, this is a genuine, well cared for and increasingly rare MGC Roadster, ideal for an enthusiast seeking an honest and usable example to enjoy.
