Description
Morris Traveller in snowberry white, I’ve owned it for two and a half years as a project to use locally as a run about. In this time I’ve completely stripped the car and replaced every seal, bush and bearing in the running gear and suspension, including new leaf springs. I have removed 40 years of MOT patches and any other rusty panels and welded in correct replacement panels. I have fitted all new Ash frame from woodies. The brakes have been completely replaced, all new shoes and cylinders. I have replaced the passenger door with one that has had the lower repair sections welded in and welded the same sections into the driver’s door, both need prep and paint. I’m selling now as moving house {losing workshop) and lost interest to be honest. Needs minor (Pun) finishing and using.
Good points: excellent engine, reconditioned gearbox fitted just before I bought it, all expensive work carried out.
Not so good: Insurance category D back in it’s distant past, all I can see is that it had a new driver’s wing, didn’t take a lot to get a Cat D when they were worth peanuts, all part of it’s history. Passenger wing is fiberglass.
The car hasn’t been driven on the road for 3 years so would recommend collection by recovery truck or trailer. Runs and drives for loading.
Price is not negotiable and reflects the work still required, no offers, price is firm.
