Renault 5 Gordini Turbo 1983
Regularity rally prepared for HERO and HRCR events but used as a daily on occasion in dry weather.
Owned for 9 years, imported from Barcelona where it was a Copa Turbo, started life as a French Market Alpine Turbo. The previous owner had fully restored the vehicle and prepared it for Spanish regularity events.
Upon arrival to the UK, Rob Campbell in Pershore carried out further preparations so it could be used on UK events. It has performed very well with a 100% finish record. On an Ilkley Jubilee event it even registered a fastest test time beating many more powerful cars.
Recent Turbo rebuild by Owen developments, Zircotec Ceramic coated exhaust manifold and 4 new Yokohama tyres. 12 Months MOT.
I had the RENIX module converted to a 123 but the original unit is included in the sale with distributor.
Other spares include all original seat belts, MPH speedo & clocks, pair of PIAA spots, new clutch/ speedo/ handbrake cables and various other bits.
Left hand drive.
