For sale a lovely restored to running order Renault Vel Satis in Privilege spec with the rare 2. 2 dci auto configuration
This car is only 1 previous owner (see V5) and has been very well looked after until it went off the road with an electronic handbrake fault that has been solved after hours of extensive electrical diagnosis conducted.
The problem was found to be a chafed wire taking 12v supply to the handbrake computer, causing it to be shut down and become inoperative.
Whilst off the road, some further maintenance works were carried out:

Full exterior Valet- ceramic coating
Under bonnet trim clips cleaned - black restored
New key batteries x 2 fitted CR1616
Front valence repainted
Wheels repainted inc lacquer
Wheel - missing central / hub cap replaced
New Front wipers
Headlights polished
Interior:
new interior torpedo bulbs
AC unit backlight repaired
Central ashtray cover replaced for working unit
Sticky plastics renovated
Leather fully cleaned (Autoglym)
Leather revive cream applied (AutoGlym)
Air con regas - planned
Mechanical general:
EGR valve cleaned
New Exhaust hangers x 2 - fix exhaust rattle
Oil 5w 40 Mannol
Oil Filter
Pollen filter - blue print
Air filter -champion
Fuel filter - Champion
MAF sensor error cured - was a piece of foam blocking flow
Aux belt - inspected - looks good
master cylinder vac seals changed
Brake fluid renewed
Front brakes / suspension:
Front brake pads replaced - Febi
New front discs Delphi
Right (offside) anti roll bar link ball joint worn - replaced (MOT warning)
left anti roll bar link - see above - do as a pair- Febi Bilstein
Rear brakes / suspension:
Handbrake repair
overhaul left rear brake - MOT warning - fluctuation
overhaul rear right brake
x2 new tyres for the rear. Nankang AS2 (Grip A rated in wet and B for efficiency)
So as you can see its been gone through with a fine toothcomb, ready for the future new owner. The car drives lovely and smooth and quite and is genuinely one of the best examples of a Vel Satis you can get in the UK. Its fair to say I have seen a lot of them and worked on many!...
