Thanks for taking the time to look at my lovely Damiler Double Six, in metallic Silver Sand, UK registered from new, with only 41000 miles, a very recent new MOT with no advisories, and close to a full service history. In my six years of ownership, and10k of flawless miles, I have had rust around the front and rear screens fixed, and had the car maintained by a local classic car specialist to the highest standard, including a full service in the last month. Mileage may increase a little.
This Double Six isn't perfect, my mechanic says it is the best he has seen in years, but it is very good apart from two things. First the air-con doesn't work (the compressor has ceased), and second there is some rust on the front valence (picture included - quoted £750 to do a full repair). There are a few minor marks as you'd expect from a 44 year old car, otherwise the interior is close to the way it was when it left the factory, the cruise control works, it still has the orginal Kenwood radio cassette. It really is a beautiful car to drive, and a lovely place to be.
Selling because I have too many old Jags, I'm semi retired and looking to fully retire in a year or two, and after downsizing I'll look to keep just one. I'm the third owner on the log book, but in reality the second, the first was company director who purchased the car for himself when he retired.
I have been told by a local classic retailer that as it is they would list the DD6 at £16, 500 and with the air-con and the rust repairs around £20, 000. All in all, I think I've got the price right, but if you are really interested and make me a respectful offer that's not too far south of the asking price, I may accept.
