Condition

The car is in very neat, well-maintained condition. Not a concours car, but a beautiful “driving car” that can be proudly shown at events and used without worry for what it was built to do: driving.

The lacquer, chrome and presentation are well cared for and the car has an appearance that draws admiring glances everywhere.

I bought the car myself 23 years ago because the lines are beautiful and timeless.
Many connoisseurs regard the MGA as one of the loveliest British sports cars ever built. Even people who know nothing about cars turn their heads when it goes by. The car represents an era. This is the 1950s and 60s in its purest form: no screens, no electronics, no driver aids. Just you, the road and the machinery.
You don’t drive a car, you experience it. Open-top driving, the sound of the engine, the scent of petrol and leather, the direct steering feel. That is something modern cars no longer offer.
The car makes people happy. At a traffic light you get a smile, a thumbs-up, or a story from someone who once had an MG. And it has character. Every drive feels special, even a trip to the bakery.

This is a great driving car because:
- It is a Mk II, and the Mk II is not just any MGA.
For many enthusiasts this is the variant you want:
- most powerful original engine;
- relatively rare;
- latest evolution of the model;
- more sought after than many standard 1500 variants.
- The colour... Red, this colour truly lets the shape of the car speak.
It is an honest car;
- well cared for;
- allowed to be used;
- is not over-restored.
With this car you should really drive, not park up. Driving is enjoying.
4. Getting in and driving
It is a neat, well-maintained car that can be used straight away with a fully rebuilt gearbox as of 2026.
5. A car people remember
An MGA has something that few classics have: almost everyone finds it beautiful. The MGA has a friendly, elegant look that appeals to a much broader audience.

In short;
This MGA is not a museum piece, but exactly the kind of classic it was built for: a gorgeous, honest roadster to enjoy. A car that brings a smile to your face on every drive and evokes positive reactions everywhere.
