Toyota Celica convertible. UK Supplied vehicle, 120, 000 miles, quite a rare car and is a much underrated car.
Mechanically this car is perfect it drives without fault and is a pleasure to drive.
The black leather seats are in average condition, see photos. The radio and cd deck are original the led panel does not work and cd recently stopped working. Any modern two din stereo will fit.
The hood is watertight and has the usual wear points. I only ever drive it with the hood down. The hood motors both work and the hood opens evenly, (very important)
All four alloys are in very good condition, they are genuine Toyota Avensis and quite rare.
All four tyres are brand new about a month ago AVON not budget and cost £350 the spare is a get you home wheel.
Bodywork looks good in photos. However over the years it's been sprayed or touched up. The drivers side rear arch is bubbling so overall it's acceptable but could do with attention. The boot has scratches but these could be rubbed down and polished out.
Good battery, cam belt changed a few years ago, radiator was replaced as a precaution, fan belt and power steering belt changed. Clutch done a few years ago. Front discs and pads changed. Rear passenger side caliper overhauled last year, new piston etc.
The car is 31 years old it could be a daily driver or a summer fun car. The prices have increased over the years.
I am not going to be greedy and I have set the price to reflect that the new owner might want to add some value so at £1999 it is really cheap motoring in a car that turns heads and is 100 percent reliable with 12 months MOT.
Also comes with the tonneau cover which was a £500 option !! Cost of this car in 1995 was £28, 000
The sun visors have been replaced with MR2 because the drivers side was tatty but originals will be supplied.
MOT just been done and had two advisories.
One for constant velocity boot, this has now been replaced.
One for exhaust blowing, this is the back box and I will try and get this replaced.
This car has never failed an MOT has a whole stack of history and recent receipts.
It does need an aerial as it recently got stuck. Best to use an internal aerial cheap and easy to fit.
Car does have an alarm.
I use Classic car insurance with an agreed value.

I also have a hood canvas that is only three or four years old (I have the receipt) and it's in really good condition it's from the car that I recently purchased and had the roof renewed because it was incorrectly fitted and the rear window canvas separated from the main canvas and a good upholsterer could stitch in a leather strip or a zip which was not possible when on the car. See photos. I kept it because my intention was to get it repaired and replace the hood on this celica. I will sell this separately if someone is interested or it goes with the car if it sells first. I have had over ten of these cars over the years, I think they are a fun underrated car, no fancy electronics easy to work on, cheap parts. I currently have two and one has to go.
