Description
1969 Land Rover Series IIA Project – Richards Galv Chassis, Pegasus Bulkhead & Clean V5CI'm reluctantly selling my 1969 Land Rover project. I started this build in January 2024, but my life circumstances have changed and I simply don't have the time or the finances to finish it. I’ve done all the heavy, dirty, and expensive work. The drivetrain has been overhauled completely by the book, and I’ve used nothing but the best parts—everything is either OEM or NOS, with loads of gear sourced from P. A. Blanchard. The Heavy Lifting (What’s Built): Chassis & Bulkhead: Sitting on a brand-new Richards galvanised chassis and a Pegasus e-coated bulkhead. Engine: Early Series 3 6-cylinder engine fitted with a late viscous fan coupling. Fully overhauled. (Note: The Landy was built Jan-Feb 1969 as a petrol, later converted to a diesel, and I’ve put it back to a proper 6-cyl petrol under my ownership). Drivetrain: Gearbox, transfer box, and axles have all been fully overhauled. Every bearing and seal across the drivetrain has been replaced. Axles & Suspension: Heavy-duty Salisbury rear axle, upgraded front drums (NOS), and parabolic springs. The front axle has brand new swivels and classic leather gaiters. Prep & Paint: Most of the major parts were properly sandblasted, treated with red oxide, and finished in POR-15 black paint. What’s Included & Left to Do:It’s currently sitting as a rolling chassis. To finish it off, you’ll need to fit the brake lines, fuel lines, and the bodywork. Brakes & Fuel: Brake lines are set up for dual-circuit (included but not yet fitted). Some fuel lines and the pump are also included. Steering & Electric: Overhauled steering system with a remoulded steering wheel, plus a brand-new wiring loom ready to go. Bodywork included: Rear tub, roof, windscreen, both front wings, and the bonnet. Interior: Converted to a 10-seater layout with a second-row bench seat. Extras: I’m throwing in absolutely every spare and collected part I have lying around for this project. Paperwork:Comes with the full V5C. The chassis and bulkhead plate numbers all match up perfectly. Price & Viewing:I’m looking for £7499 given the massive cost of the premium parts involved and the meticulous standard of the overhaul work, but I am happy to negotiate on price with a serious buyer. You are more than welcome to come and view it to see the quality of the work for yourself. Drop me a message to arrange a time. It’s at that perfect stage where you can make it your own, the chassis is nearly ready to go. What you do from then it up to you. But with the 2. 6 6 cyl it won’t be gutless.
