Possibly the best Austin A110mk1 remaining ? 1962 manual with overdrive. Only two previous owners and 61, 500 miles believed to be genuine but unverifyed. Finshed in its original Horizon Blue complete with original Buff Log Book and Heritage certificate. The car was subject to a full , documented and photographed, restoration across 2016/ 17 at a cost of more than £30k with all bills present in the restoration file. Since the restoration the car has been serviced and maintained regardless of cost and has also been Mot'd every year. All post restoration expenditure is documented and all past MOT certficates are present.
The car was bought by me in 2015 from a dealer. I had been looking for one for a long time until I came across this 1 family owned from new example with c 57k recorded miles. Although tatty the car was totally solid, complete and running.
The resoration commenced in 2016 and included the following;
-Complete dissassembly.
-Virtually no welding whatsoever.
-Bare metal respray.
-All new or re-chromed parts.
-Brakes and suspension/ steering refurbished.
-New wiring loom.
-Engine and drivetrain thoroughly overhauled.
-New clutch.
-Carbs refurbished.
-Petrol tank removed cut-open cleaned and re-sealed.
-New Petrol Pump.
-5 new tyres wheels shot blasted and re-painted.
-New headlining.
-New carpets.
-Original Upholstery and door cards refurbished.
-New inertia - reel seat belts.
-Halogen headlights with mainbeam wired into spot lights.
I bought the Westminster because my dad had one when I was a kid and it was the first car I ever drove. I've had great fun with the car over the last 11 years and I'm proud of the many awards it has recieved at local and national car shows. Its even done a couple of weddings along the way.
Unfortunately I'm shortly going to lose garage space and feel now is the time for the Westy to go.
The car is in beautiful condition although probably not quite concours. Everything works except the clock. It runs perfectly and maintains both oil pressure and temperate as it should.
The car comes with Full tool kit ( also fully re-furbished) Indoor cover, two keys, workshop manual, handbook , Its own book detailing the resto-before and after, along with some spare parts.
