Description

PLEASE NOTE: THE CAR IS ALSO LISTED ON EBAY!!

For sale is a 1967 MGB GT, first registered in August '67. I have owned this car since January 2024, and it’s now time to let her go. Odometer is showing 17677 miles, but I have a feeling it’s rolled over. Please note: The brakes are intermittently seizing, and will need either a trailer or roll-back truck for collection.

The car cranks over and starts with gentle persuasion, but the idle speed increases slightly when the engine gets up to temperature. The engine holds a healthy 50 - 55 PSI of oil pressure.

Onto the plus points! Car is practically original to my knowledge, with period leather seating with matching leather door-cards. New AM/ FM radio fitted. Negative Earth wiring loom conversion. Unleaded fuel conversion (No more overpriced lead additive!). Full size spare under the boot floor. Can guarantee that it makes a cracking noise when the car is in motion. And naturally, because of what it is; it gets looks galore.

Paperwork present includes all invoices that I’ve collected over the last two years, and a collection of Enjoying MG Magazine from the MG Owner’s Club (February 2024 - Present). Paperwork available to view on request during viewings.

Other issues of note include: Windshield wiper motor and washer pump doesn’t work. Speedometer is out of sync with the wheel speed. General wear and tear visually for a car of its age. Exhaust tip is showing signs of surface corrosion, but hasn’t structurally affected the exhaust. Front bumper on driver’s side is showing signs of the chrome fading. I’ve gone over it with chrome specific polish, and it’s still faded.

All questions and viewings welcome; also open to sensible offers. Cash or bank transfer/ PayPal welcome. Thank you for viewing. Bought the car as an initial impulse purchase, and unironically drove the car between taking my driving lessons. This is a 1967 model, meaning the car comes with basically chrome EVERYTHING on the exterior, making for a look that screams “Old Money”. The car gets looks, compliments, and admiration wherever it’s gone; not a day goes by when people fail to have their attention stolen and look at the car as they walk past the house.

You could go months, if not possibly years, before seeing another first generation MGB GT prowling the streets of your town or neighbourhood. It’s a light, nimble chassis that’s full of character and charm, and its Pininfarina design certainly sets it aside from the monotonous grey drab that’s seen on the daily today.
