Fully restored Standard Super 10 - 1957
This car has been owned by the same owner for 35 years, unfortunately over the last few years has fallen ill and can no longer drive or maintain the car.
I don't know a great deal about the restore, but the car has fully photo evidence of the work, it looks to me like a bare shell, nut and bolt restore. I work on modern cars so my knowledge of these cars is limited.
The car has been garaged all the time over the last ten years, the owner never got to take the car out after the restore.
I have got the car running, jerry can of fuel with lead substitute, some fuel down the carb, some checks on the engine, jump pack and after the compression built it fired up and runs lovely. This car had not been started for years.
Engine bay is mint - I can see some rubber coolant pipe may need changing as they look perished, the oil is clean. There was a oil catch can under the car, so the car could have a oil leak, the car ran on the drive for 15 mins and seemed fine to me though.
Brakes seem good, handbrake was left off, pedal seems fine.
Gears all engage.
Electrics all seem good, will need a new battery.
Bodywork - I cannot see or find any rust, the underneath is waxoyled and looks rot free as excepted for a restore.
Interior is mint
Tyres have held air.
Log book is present and lots of other photos and documents.
As I have said I am helping out a friend sell the car, which is his wife, any questions please ask and ill do my best to answer them. I have videos of the car running.
The picture are of the car just out of the garage, its not been washed at all. I can get some more photos or videos if required.
Some spares I can see in the garage will also go with the car.
The car is a credit to the owner who put years of work into this car, it should really go to a museum in my opinion.
