Description
1989 Range Rover 3. 5 V8 EFi SE Vogue
In Cypress Green metallic with grey leather interior, originally a Dutch car, seemingly purchased by a Dutch owner living in France.
The car is in overall good mechanical condition and passed its technical inspection a few months ago.
The engine was fully dismantled and rebuilt a few years ago. Recent maintenance includes new rubber hoses, spark plugs, filters, belts, battery and tires. The floors and wheel arches have also been renewed.
While the engine is in good condition, the car may require a new radiator. The upper tailgate (traditionally prone to rust) will also still need replacing. The bottom trunk panel does not appear to be rusty, but has a dent (see pictures).
The car is still believed to have its original paint (with most parts of the pinstripe still applied), but that is also reflected in the condition of the paint, which is rough, with some scratches and cracks.
The interior is overall in fair condition, but could use some work. One of the walnut wood plaques needs redoing, and the car needs a new headliner.
All in all, with some small updates, this great V8 classic Range Rover is ready to be enjoyed as a driver's car. It is by no means in concours condition, but one could continue restoring it while enjoying the drive.
The car comes with its original maintenance booklet, which shows that although it was seemingly purchased by a Dutch owner living in France, all maintenance was performed by a Dutch dealership.
I'm reluctantly selling the car to make space for a recent prewar purchase. Excellent examples of this V8 luxury Vogue edition can command EUR 35, 000 and more. The price reflects the work the car may require. Please don't hesitate to reach out in case of any questions.
