Description
Alvis Speed 20 1936 Special
One off special design by Pitney Restorations
V5 in my name and address, runs and starts but will need overhaul on brakes, fuel pumps, new hoses, joining up new petrol tank at the rear. Re wiring etc
This car will need to be overhauled in my eyes just for safety aspect. We have had the engine running with a jerry can under the bonnet to supply fuel.
Does start but has leaking hoses and it’s not wise run it for a long time. I have a short video of me driving the car but it was slowly driven up and down my yard because the brakes need looking at and hose pipes etc.
As I bought the car with a tired unusable body that I took off we run and started the car but as off it’s age and old parts my suggestion is to go through the car:
Differential
Gearbox and engine
Brakes
Electrics
To make it a safe and reliable car as I have not driven it on roads
The V5 says it’s a historic saloon and as I understand it you can change it when registering as new owner.
Read storage, new seats, new battery, adjustable pedals for any size person, new blockley tires sadly the two lamp glass are broken. New brake rear plates to be fitted because the old ones are damage ld but supplied with the car.
Any questions please message and advise viewing at Pitney Restotations welcome.
