Description
Here's one you probably have not seen in person before! One of only 211 ever made, 40 odd survivors and 20 odd still on the road.
First registered in November 1960, the car wears her nearly 70 years of age with pride.
She had a ton of work done to recommission and put her back on the road earlier this year, so is ready to be driven away and enjoyed without requiring any additional work.
She is mechanically and structurally sound, sitting on a solid chassis with everything having been gone through to ensure she is a reliable driver, including:
- Recommissioned engine with new top end
- New braking system all around
- Body off work to restore and preserve the outriggers and axles
- New suspension
- New exhaust (just installed, rear tailpipe replacing one in the pictures)
- New consumables all around including battery and tires
- 123 ignition and new coil
- Rebuilt seats with new rubbers and stuffing
- And many more bits to mention
Since then we've driven nearly 4000 miles together, turning heads wherever we go as no one has ever seen anything like it. Engine is nippy, brakes are reassuring, and gearbox goes up and down the gears as it should.
She's by no means perfect, but she is solid where it matters and is a reliable driver that can be safely driven and enjoyed as is.
If shows are your thing, it doesn't get much better than such a rare and unusual car that's guaranteed to always be the only one around, while still maintaining club support and parts availability.
Change in circumstances means I can't drive it as much as I'd like moving forward, so she is looking for a new owner who will enjoy and look after her.
HPI clear and all paperwork present in my name.
Any questions please do drop me a message (messages are preferable as can't always pick up the phone).
