Had this MG for a few months, and really enjoyed daily driving this. When I bought it I thought a hatchback would be big enough for me, but I need something with a bit more space inside.
Did a CarVertical report when I first bought it, and only had yellow sign for mileage, since it was stored inside for a number of years by the previous owners. Lovely car inside and out, super cool retro hatchback now, interior feel brands new with new headlining and seats are original but looks amazing for nearly 21 years old. Seats are original so looking incredible for there age, with minimal bolster wear on them.
Underneath is super clean, with all solid sills and jacking points. Only surface rust is on the bottom engine mount. And slight patch of lacquer on the front bonnet. Regarding the Oli leak on the MOT, I cleaned the underside of the engine from the Oli when did the timing belt and it hasn’t show any signs of leaks since.
1. 4l engine runs really smooth, pared with the later ford gearbox meaning a very reliable engine and gearbox set-up. Such a fun, nippy car on a back road. Really gonna miss it on the weekends.
Looking for £2, 750 for it.
