Description
2008 Chrysler 300C 3. 0 CRD V6 Facelift SRT Design, heavily upgraded and maintained, with a huge amount of money spent mechanically, cosmetically and on performance.
This is not a standard high-mileage 300C. It has been built and maintained as an enthusiast car and has had extensive work carried out over the last year in particular. It currently sits at 165, 000 miles with full service history and has had many of the expensive age-related jobs already completed.
Mechanically, the swirl flaps have been removed and deleted, the oil cooler was replaced at approximately 150, 000 miles, the plenum has been removed and thoroughly cleaned, and new gaskets have been fitted. It has also had new exhaust and turbo gaskets, suspension arms replaced/ upgraded, replacement springs, a new parking sensor ECU, replacement fuses where required and new xenon headlight bulbs.
Performance upgrades include a Stage 1 ECU remap and gearbox remap. The car also has a full upgraded exhaust system with sports catalytic converter and AMG-style quad tips. The exhaust was professionally fabricated by MIJ Exhaust and the car has also been featured by MIJ in their own marketing material.
The car has a much stronger presence than a standard CRD while still retaining the usability, torque and long-distance ability of the 3. 0 V6 diesel.
Visually, it has been built around a much more aggressive and individual look. It has the facelift SRT Design body, upgraded front grille, front splitter, rear diffuser, rear spoiler, de-badged exterior, yellow-tinted headlights, upgraded side/ running/ rear lighting and high-quality wheel spacers to improve the stance.
It currently sits on 20-inch Fondmetal 1972 Gloss Black/ Bronze Machined alloy wheels, which completely transform the appearance of the car. These are proper premium wheels rather than cheap replicas. The original 20-inch Chrysler SRT Design wheels are also included with the sale, along with a selection of spare parts I have accumulated during ownership.
The rear has also been heavily changed with the quad-exit exhaust, diffuser treatment, spoiler and lighting upgrades, giving the car a much wider and more purposeful appearance from behind.
Inside, it has heated seats, electric seats, electric folding mirrors, touchscreen multimedia, DVD player, rear parking sensors and Android Auto installed.
The car has full service history and supporting paperwork for the work carried out.
Yes, it has 165, 000 miles, and I am not trying to hide that. The difference is that this car has had a huge amount of maintenance and preventative work already completed. The oil cooler was replaced at around 150k, the plenum and gasket work has been done, swirl flaps deleted, turbo and exhaust gaskets replaced, suspension work completed and multiple smaller electrical and cosmetic issues addressed.
Most of the work was done because I intended to keep the car, not because I was preparing it for sale.
I have spent thousands on this car, excluding the cost of the current Fondmetal wheels.
It is genuinely not an easy car for me to sell. It gets attention almost everywhere it goes, with people stopping in car parks, petrol stations and even in traffic to ask about it, take photos or talk about it.
If you are simply looking for the cheapest 300C available, this probably is not the car for you. There are cheaper examples and there are lower-mileage examples.
What is much harder to find is another facelift SRT Design with this combination of mechanical work, Stage 1 tune, gearbox remap, MIJ exhaust, sports cat, premium wheels, exterior modifications, original SRT wheels and overall presence.
The car is currently advertised at £6, 495 ONO.
The private registration W23 MLS is not included in the asking price but is available with the car for an additional £1, 000.
Serious enquiries only. No rush to sell and no unrealistic offers.
This is for someone who wants a 300C that already has the expensive work, tuning and visual transformation done. Stage 1, gearbox remap, MIJ quad exhaust, sports cat, premium 20” Fondmetals, aggressive stance and extensive maintenance make it very different from a standard CRD. It has real presence, gets attention everywhere and still retains the comfort, torque and usability that make the 3. 0 V6 300C such a good long-distance cruiser.
